Rhys is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and has a wealth of experience leading and contributing to some of our largest and most complex investigation cases in the UK and internationally.
Since launching his career with us, Rhys has gained exposure to a wide variety of investigation cases, including investigating allegations of fraud, bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, serious employee misconducts, and breaches of procedures and regulations. He has significant experience conducting investigations involving commercially or politically sensitive matters, including those which relate to senior employees or public officials.
Rhys also supports his clients with proactive, preventative advisory pieces having conducted anti-fraud, bribery and corruption reviews and risk assessments, as well as constructing and delivering fraud, bribery and corruption awareness workshops.
Rhys has had a key role in the development of our eDiscovery capabilities during 2023, having overseen the adoption and integration of RelativityOne across multiple service lines. The use of Relativity has enhanced many of our review workflows, introducing time and cost efficiencies whilst also enhancing accuracy and quality.
Rhys led one of our most complex cross-border bribery investigations to date, which involved navigating language barriers and mobilising a number of our teams internationally to investigate allegations of bribery at a multi-million dollar energy producer in the Middle-East.
Rhys was involved in one of our largest and most sensitive investigation cases post-pandemic, which involved allegations of serious misconduct by a senior individual at one of the UK's largest Local Government Authorities, and included an investigation into potential conflicts of interest, abuse of position, corruption, and bullying behaviours across multiple years.
