Forvis Mazars Group, operating in over 100 countries and territories, plans to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045. In the short term, the firm will reduce 64% of its direct (scope 1 and 2) emissions and 34% of its indirect (scope 3) emissions by 2030. In the long-term it will reduce 95% of its direct emissions by 2038 and 90% of its indirect emissions by 2045.
Forvis Mazars in the UK is already leading efforts to meet the target of net zero by 2045 through a comprehensive sustainability approach. Key efforts include:
- Working to reduce emissions at every level of the firm – from sourcing renewable energy to diverting waste from landfill across all its UK offices.
- Enhancing its travel policy with a stronger focus on sustainability; reducing non-essential business travel and promoting low-carbon transport modes.
- Introducing new ways to incentivise cleaner modes of travel for business and commuting trips.
- Strengthening its supplier engagement plan to align with the net zero pathway.
- Working with clients on their sustainability journeys, from measurement to climate risk modelling
