Forvis Mazars appoints Jon Marchant as Managing Partner for Bristol office

Forvis Mazars, a leading global professional services network, has appointed Jon Marchant as dedicated Office Managing Partner (OMP) for its Bristol office.

He takes on the role from Amy Reynolds, who remains in the firm but is stepping aside after four and a half years as OMP to focus on other responsibilities.

As OMP, Jon will be responsible for developing the firm’s business strategy in Bristol. A key focus for the team is continuing to grow its mid-market and public interest entity audit offering, as well as expanding its private client services, to further support businesses and individuals in the region and giving them access to everything they need under one roof.

Jon Marchant, Partner and Forvis Mazars Bristol Office Managing Partner, said:

“I’m thrilled to be appointed as Office Managing Partner for Forvis Mazars’ Bristol office. It is a great honour to be entrusted with continuing our office’s successes which we have seen in recent years. It’s an exciting time as we look to expand both our team and offering, alongside taking advantage of the new benefits coming from our new global network, which gives us a real opportunity to demonstrate our unique offering to clients in the region.”

Jon joined the firm in 2014, becoming an Audit Partner in 2018. He has over 25 years of experience auditing and advising organisations of all sizes and across a number of sectors, including manufacturing, technology and retail, and currently leads Forvis Mazars’ mid-market audit team in the South West. He is particularly experienced at delivering cross border group audit assignments and works with many international groups. Jon has spent the vast majority of his career working across the South West, giving him a deep understanding of the local market, but has also worked in Canada and the USA, meaning he is well-placed to develop the extensive transatlantic opportunities for the firm in this region.

Forvis Mazars’ offices across the South West (Bristol, Poole and Gloucester) have enjoyed a strong period over recent years, and announced double digit growth in revenue for FY 22-23. These teams have celebrated four promotions in the Bristol office and 1 promotion in the Poole office this month, at director and manager levels and across Audit and Private Client. In the last year, Julie Breakell also joined the Poole office as Audit partner, while Matthew Finch was promoted to Director in the Business Services team in Bristol.

As part of plans to further expand the offering in the local area and nurture future talent, Forvis Mazars recently welcomed 14 early career hires to its Bristol office and 6 to its Poole office, consisting of graduate, school leaver and placement students. Across its UK offices, Forvis Mazars has announced over 200 promotions in the firm this September and welcomed a total of 357 new trainees.

In June this year, Forvis Mazars, the newest top 10 global professional services network was launched. Formed of Mazars, the international audit, tax, and advisory firm, and FORVIS, a top ranked firm in the United States, it operates from Bristol with the existing team and services.
