Global mobility and employment tax

In a fast paced, globally connected and competitive world, businesses need to make the most of all the assets at their fingertips in order to remain resilient and thrive.

It is often said that a company’s greatest asset is its people and throughout the Covid crisis we have seen many examples where this has proved to be true.

We understand the importance of people to your business and several of the teams under our Specialist Tax department are focussed specifically on ensuring that you can achieve the best results from your employees.

  • The Global Mobility team support businesses that have employees working overseas or regularly crossing borders. As well as the complex art of multi-country compliance (tax returns, social security certificates, payroll, etc), the team works with their colleagues across the firm's network, to deal with assignment planning and policy advice to help minimise costs.
  • Our in-house UK Immigration team work with businesses and individuals to ensure full immigration compliance to secure and maintain the correct sponsorship licences, work authorisation and entry visas to allow migrant workers to undertake their roles. The UK Immigration team is part of a global network and so is able to assist in many locations worldwide.
  • Our Employment Tax team advise on innovative, tax-efficient and sustainable reward policies as well as ensuring that you can navigate employment tax (benefits, expenses, travel costs etc), employment status (IR35), CJRS and National Minimum Wage compliance effectively. We provide practical support to help reduce costs, plan ahead, enhance reward and mitigate risks, using both our specialist expertise and bespoke technology.
