Pierre-Alexandre Germont Director – Global Climate Risk Lead

Pierre-Alexandre leads our Climate Risk Service Offering with a particular focus on quantification, by providing Financial Services companies with models and tools to measure their exposure to climate-related financial risks. Pierre-Alexandre works closely with different teams including Quantitative Solutions, Sustainable finance, Data Analytics and Audit.

Experience 

Pierre-Alexandre brings over 12 years of professional experience with extensive knowledge in quantitative modelling, credit risk and climate risk with expertise in risk management, IFRS9 model development and validation, quantitative modelling methodologies and approaches across all segments (banking, insurance, asset management, corporates and governments). Pierre-Alexandre combines experiences in banking, rating agency and data analytics companies, working with and serving companies in Western Europe, North America and Africa.

Pierre-Alexandre helps clients strengthen their management of climate-related financial risks, ensuring that their risk management frameworks effectively integrate those risks. He helps them understand those risks, assessing their exposure, quantifying them, and designing modelling approaches to integrate them into financial risk frameworks.

He holds a Master of Science in Finance from Audencia School of Management in France.

Work Highlights 

In line with increasing regulatory pressure and requirements for financial institutions to embed climate risk into their strategy, Pierre-Alexandre worked closely with banks and insurance companies from different jurisdictions to support them and help them build their climate transition plan by providing useful advice and solutions to integrate climate-related risks into their risk management framework.

Pierre-Alexandre also leads the Risk Modelling framework of a British bank, developing and enhancing analytics and models related to credit risk such as credit scoring, IFRS9 calculations, and scenario analysis.
