Nabeel Thakur Senior Manager - Employment Tax

Nabeel is a senior manager in the Employment Tax team. Nabeel’s background enables him to approach situations with a unique viewpoint and approach employment tax projects from both the commercial side and professional service perspective.

Experience 

Nabeel has a strong understanding of employment tax matters including, reporting benefits in kind efficiently, reviewing payroll configurations, analysing termination payments, undertaking employment status (IR35) reviews, other ad-hoc PAYE queries, assisting client with HMRC enquiries, payment of non-executive and non-resident directors, and assessing the tax treatment of travel policies.

Nabeel has also helped implement many cost-reduction arrangements for employers, including Salary Sacrifice and Troncs arrangements.

Work Highlights 

Nabeel has been heavily involved in ensuring that employers report cash and non-cash benefits in kind to HMRC correctly. This includes reporting benefits in kind to HMRC via forms P11D, PSA, or via the payroll and has helped implement many cost reduction arrangements for employers.

Nabeel was heavily involved in helping organisations get to grips with their Covid response, supporting businesses with the CJRS/Furlough arrangements to help protect jobs and ensure claims made were as accurate as possible.
