Macdonald is a Manager in our Financial services consulting practice, primarily working with banks and investment firms. Since joining us in 2023, he has focused on prudential risk and regulatory compliance. He has also assisted clients in producing essential regulatory documents such as ICAAP, ILAAP, ICARA, and Recovery Plans.
Macdonald started his career at a leading bank, where he spent several years focusing on prudential and financial risk management. In 2022, he moved into consulting, initially joining a Big Four firm. There, he supported various banks and investment firms with prudential risk and regulatory compliance.
He specialises in prudential risk, regulatory compliance, and financial risk management. Macdonald has a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and is skilled in developing and reviewing key regulatory documents like ICAAP, ILAAP, ICARA, Recovery plans, and Wind-down plans. He also has extensive experience in stress testing, risk appetite frameworks, and capital planning.
Macdonald has worked closely with banks and investment firms to interpret and implement various existing and emerging regulatory requirements. In his current role at the firm, Macdonald has successfully led numerous projects that have significantly improved clients' regulatory reporting and risk management frameworks. He has been instrumental in helping clients navigate complex regulatory expectations, and his ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet specific client needs has been a key factor in his success so far.
