The EU Settlement Scheme was introduced by the UK Government in March 2019. The scheme was created to allow EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens who were residents in the UK before the end of the EU Exit transition period to evidence their rights of residence under the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement.
