Mazars reinforces its management team with the appointment of two new partners
Mazars has appointed Isabel Velázquez and Alberto Martínez new members of the firm's share. The appointment has taken place after the meeting of international partners (Mazars is an integrated firm so that the quota partners become international partners) which was recently held in Berlin and which brought together more than 1,000 partners from over 80 countries. With the promotion of Isabel and Alberto, Mazars empowers its management team of some of its strategic business areas.
Isabel Velázquez leads the financial audit Division of the insurance sector. Degree in economics and business from the Complutense University of Madrid, master in auditing at the University of Alcalá de Henares and member of the official Registry of Auditors of accounts of Spain (ROAC), has extensive experience in Financial audit and Consulting and business consultancy in the insurance sector in Spain and internationally, especially in countries such as Mexico, Portugal and Italy. He is also a member of the International Insurance Group of Mazars.
Isabel's appointment will help reinforce the already good positioning of the insurance division of the firm, which has a multidisciplinary team of actuaries, auditors, consultants, lawyers and tax consultants specialized in the sector and Integrated into a global team of more than 700 professionals in the five continents. In Spain Mazars provides audit services to large groups such as AXA, PNC or Agrupació and, since the last year, to mutual law and Helvetia and in the form of a coaudit to Bansabadell Seguros generals (Zurich Group) and the DKV group.
By the other hand, Alberto Martínez leads the division of Financial Advisory services that provides corporate finance services, advising on transactions, valuations, forensics, etc. Martínez holds a degree in economics and business from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, PDD from IESE and a member of the official Registry of Spanish Auditors (ROAC).
It has a great knowledge in the advising in transactions, valuations of companies or analysis of business plans, in both large national companies and in multinational corporations in sectors such as retail and consumption, the technological one or the Industrial. In addition, it is part of the team of Financial Advisory Services Global, which integrates the leaders of these services in the main countries of the firm around the world.
