Akash Patel Associate Director - Consulting

Akash is an Associate Director in the Management Consulting team who works with clients to improve operational performance across their businesses.  He focuses on the key areas for driving change: Supply Chain Operations, Manufacturing and Commercial. He has expertise in the application of lean, change and step management with a hands-on approach to implementation.

Akash is an engineer by education and the early part of his career was spent working for a leading aerospace engine manufacturer as an Operations Improvement Engineer.  Latterly, he has worked in professional services for over seven years in both an Advisory and Transaction Services capacity, with experience across a broad range of sectors in both public and private industries such as automotive, aerospace, metals, local government etc. for clients of various sizes.  His skill set enables him not only to quickly assess and review a business's operations, but also formulate an action plan for improvement and then follow through working with management to implement change.

These skills have enabled him to successfully deliver business wide operational improvement projects; cost reductions, supply chain re-engineering, operational and commercial reviews; independent business reviews with a consideration for people, process, assets and technology.

Akash has a first-class Honours in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) from Queen Mary, University of London, and is Lean Six Sigma green belt certified.
