Mazars sponsors International Opera Awards 2021
Hosted by BBC Radio 3’s Petroc Trelawny, this online event was watched around the globe and featured performances from this year’s winners and other famous faces, whilst raising funds to support the Opera Awards Foundation Artist Hardship Fund, set up to provide emergency grants to young artists affected by the pandemic. The event announced the long awaited 2020 awards and also honoured the extraordinary resilience of the opera industry during the past year.
Mazars also continued its sponsorship of the Young Singer Award, which showcases the inspirational and international journeys of up-and-coming artists and previous winners have included many notable operatic stars. The winners of this year’s award were Mezzo soprano Vasilisa Berzhanskaya and tenor Xabier Auduaga.
