AFRC Regional Regulatory Forum 2024 (2 December 2024)
Jimmy Yip, Managing Director, along with the Quality Assurance team from Forvis Mazars in Hong Kong and other partner and managers, participated in the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) Regional Regulatory Forum 2024 on 2 December 2024. This pivotal event convenes regulators and professional firm from across the region to exchange best practices and enhance the quality of auditing. Its objectives include bolstering investor protection, advancing the professional development of accountants, and establishing Hong Kong as an international financial center.
The forum, themed “Transforming Regulation, Governance, and Development for a Resilient and Sustainable Future,” serves as an exceptional platform for audit and accounting professionals to share insights and discuss best practices on a variety of relevant and urgent topics aimed at fostering market development and growth.
The panel session at the event concentrated on critical issues such as policy development, regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, technological disruption, sustainability reporting and assurance, and talent management.
