HKICPA 2024 SMP Symposium (22 November 2024)
On 22 November 2024, our Managing Director Jimmy Yip attended the SMP Symposium 2024 organized by HKICPA as a co-speaker, where he updated the participants on the latest developments of IFAC SMPAG.
Jimmy Yip, who serves as Deputy Chairman of the Small and Medium Practices Committee and Chairman of the SMPC Practice Management and Digitalization Support Group, has been the Institute’s representative to the IFAC SMP AG since 2024.
In his morning presentation, Jimmy outlined the current projects and work plans of IESBA and IAASB. He also presented the key findings from the IFAC SMP Advisory Group meetings.
In the afternoon session, he moderated the practice management topic with the speakers, Jacky Wu, on Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) with ORC and GenAI in accounting firms, application of data analytics in accounting from a CPA's Perspective by Clive Yip and application of data analytics in Accounting from a technology provider's perspective by Samuel Tsang,
