Jimmy Yip participated in HKICPA Community sharing session (October 2024)
Last week, our Managing Director, Jimmy Yip, participated in the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) Community sharing session at the community launch ceremony alongside with other community member from different spheres of influence.
The CPA Community is a centralised hub designed to engage members who’ve shown dedication to the institute’s vision to promote the profession.
The sharing session was moderated by the Vice President Edward Au and Stephen LAW. The topics mainly focused on the role of community members at the Institute and the type of stakeholders they mostly interact with.
Jimmy, as the Vice Chairman of SMPC as well as the representative of the HKICPA on the IFAC SMP Advisory Group also shared his insights about the influence of HK accountants on the global stage. He also discussed with other community members during the panel about the ways to effectively communicate the true value of the accounting profession as well as raising the awareness of accounting professionals among the broader public.
