Julie Laulusa chaired a panel discussion at the 2014 Michelin Challenge Bibendum

Michelin invited Mazars to chair a leaders’ forum programme articulated around “The Chinese view on Green Paper priorities towards sustainable, inclusive mobility”.

First held in 1998, Michelin Challenge Bibendum is an international event focused on road sustainable mobility. Over the past 15 years, the challenge has been held in various cities across the world, including Berlin, Paris, Shanghai and Rio de Janeiro. 

The 12th Michelin Challenge Bibendum was held at the International Intangible Cultural Heritage Park in Chengdu, Sichuan province of China, from 11th to 15th November 2014, which focused on the major challenges facing urban mobility. Julie Laulusa, Managing Partner of Mazars Mainland China, and the Master of Ceremony, Pat Cox, former president of the European Parliament, jointly introduced the guests of honor during the opening ceremony.

 During this 5-day event, participants from over 250 companies, institutions and other organizations, including energy suppliers, policymakers, university and research institutions, gathered to discuss the possibilities and visions of sustainable road mobility

The forum kicked off with a keynote speech by Mr. Tang Yuxiang, President of Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd and following a panel discussion between Mr. CHEN Yudong (President of Bosch (China) Investment Ltd.), Mr. Klaus MANNSPERGER (Vice President Engineering Support Office of Daimler Greater China Ltd.), Mr. Jean-Pierre COJAN (Executive Vice President - Strategy and Transformation of Safran SA), Mr. Pierre MONGIN (President and CEO of RATP ) and Mr. SHA Ming (Chairman of Xing Xing Cathay International Group) on the development of sustainable road mobility and its related social issues. Leaders from large organizations exchanged their view points on the actions advocated in the Green Paper.
