Business Students from the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis Visit Mazars Hong Kong
The students were accommodated by John Poon, Tax Director at Mazars Hong Kong, who had given an introductory speech to welcome them, and also Oscar Chow, Tax Senior Manager at Mazars Hong Kong, who had presented to the students on the services we provided in Hong Kong and enlightened to the students on the culture of living and working in Hong Kong and the Mainland China. During the sharing session, we were also very glad to have Denzel Blount, our Audit Senior I, who had just transferred from the US to the Hong Kong office in May for his 5-months secondment and Nathan Baston, our Commercial Management student intern from France, to share their experiences in working in a culturally diversified environment and talk about the motivations and benefits to work aboard. At the end, students also had the opportunity to tour the office for a better understanding of the working culture and environment at Mazars Hong Kong.
All of the students found the firm visit and sharing very helpful, especially now that they will have to consider their future career pathways. Exploring and witnessing firsthand what really is happening in the corporate world, particularly in an auditing firm in the Asia Pacific region served as an inspiration and motivation for them and gave them the opportunity to weigh their choices that will be vital to their future careers.
