Mark Hubbard Partner - Tax

Mark is the UK leader of Forvis Mazars’ Financial services tax practice, which provides specialist expertise on corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax and employment-related taxes to clients across the banking, insurance and asset management sectors.

Experience

Mark has over 20 years of experience in financial services and international tax drawn from senior roles in Big Four practices and FTSE 100 in-house roles. Initially at Ernst & Young, Mark spent ten years advising multinational businesses on international tax matters in both London and New York, followed by a further ten years at Barclays Bank where he had several senior tax positions and ultimately served as the group’s Global Head of Tax. He has now been with Forvis Mazars since 2021 supporting the needs of financial services clients.

Work highlights

His in-house experience as a senior tax leader within the banking industry has provided Mark with a deep experience in building strong governance, managing complex risks and projects, and engaging effectively with tax authorities.

Mark now advises clients on a wide range of tax matters across the banking, capital markets, fintech and asset/wealth management sectors.

 He also acts as the lead external tax auditor to numerous multinational banks and asset managers, assessing their overall tax control environment and risk profiles.
