Task mining

Mazars has partnered with UltimateSuite which is recognised by Gartner as a key example for task mining solution. Our aim is to help companies achieve their objectives in organisation productivity together with adequate levels of automation.

Automated task mining helps with:

• Automated discovery: automated task mining eliminates the need for manual process mapping and measuring
• Bottleneck identification: gathered data, apart from process duration, contains detailed information about execution methods of individuals
• Instant outputs: outputs with deep insight for further analysis are provided continuously and near online
• Internal data processing: data are gathered and processed exclusively within a client’s infrastructure
• Objectivity: continuous measurement without user interaction eliminates tendentious behavior and includes seasonal trends
• HW resources: apart from user behavior the tool is capable of monitoring workstation’s resources utilisation
• Methodology: build-in but still variable methodology eliminates the need to define measurements metrics

Task mining consists of 3 main pillars:

1. Users' workstations
   The probes are deployed on user workstations and gather the data with detailed information about performed processes. User can temporarily stop data gathering for privacy purposes.
2. Client´s server
   Consolidated data from workstations are transferred in a form of encrypted data files to shared network folder within client’s environment. The same folder is used to transfer the settings back to probes on users' workstations.  The data processing component and the tool for measurement configuration are deployed on server within client’s infrastructure. Visualized data are available for analysis in Tableau/Qlik/PowerBI server platform. Data do not leave client’s infrastructure.
3. Analyst´s workstation
   Analysts use BI dashboards on their own workstations to analyse the outputs.
