2024 APAC Partners Conference (19-21 June 2024)
The 2024 Forvis Mazars APAC Partners Conference was successfully held at the Renaissance Resort & Spa Pattaya from June 19 to 21, 2024.
Sharing Session in ICBC Shanghai (21 June 2024)
On 21 June 2024, our Tax director, Grace Xia as one of the co-speakers conducted the sharing session related to Hong Kong cross-border investment which hosted by ICBC in Shanghai. During the event, Grace talked about the tax considerations of doing business in Hong Kong, while the other co-speakers, Yiming Li from ICBC Asia(中國工商銀行(亞洲)) and Yuyang Zhang, from ZSZH Shanghai also share the insights about opportunities and challenges of cross-border investment in Hong Kong and tax implications of Chinese enterprises’ overseas investments.

Mazars Asia-Pacific Decentralised Country Forum 2024 (17 - 18 April 2024)
The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region has played an increasingly important role in the world economy. From 17th to 18th April 2024, the Mazars Asia-Pacific Decentralised Country Forum 2024 was successfully held in Le Meridien Cyberport Hong Kong. This forum gathered GEB & GCC members, Group and regional service line leaders to discuss further APAC strategies and actions together with managing partners from APAC during this 2-days Forum.
Hong Kong Capital Markets Forum 2024 (30 January 2024)
On 30 January 2024, our partners & managers from Mazars in Hong Kong participated in the inaugural “Hong Kong Capital Markets Forum 2024: Driving Growth with Market Integrity and Sound Governance” co-organised by the Hong Kong Association of Registered Public Interest Entity Auditors Limited (PIEAA), the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies (CHKLC) and The Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD) to explore the current status and future trends of the global, Chinese and Hong Kong economies, the challenges they face and the opportunities that Hong Kong can seize.

Our Tax Director Karen Lau and Senior Advisor Anthony Tam from Mazars in Hong Kong advised on a transcontinental M&A automotive deal by coordinating with Bartošík Sváby. We played a pivotal role in serving the Canadian company Windsor Machine Group's sale of its Slovak, HongKong and Chinese subsidiaries — operating automotive parts production plants — to French group Tesca, as tax advisors with counsels from China, Canada, and Germany.
Internal Sharing Session in CTBC Bank Hong Kong Branch (5 December 2023)
On 5 December 2023, we are pleased to be invited by the Private Banking service in CTBC Bank Hong Kong Branch to conduct an internal sharing session from our financial service team, Jonathan Wan, Paul Cheng and Florence Yin about how to attract High Net Worth Individuals from Taiwan to consider setting up family offices in Hong Kong. While our tax team Karen Lau and Pauline Leung also introduced the Hong Kong Tax Regime and Related Tax Concessions for family offices to the audiences.
HKICPA 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner (4 December 2023)
On 4 December 2023, our representatives from Mazars in Hong Kong had a joyful evening at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, joining over 500 Hong Kong accounting industry community to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) Gala Dinner. The occasion was a joyous celebration of the Institute and its members’ achievements over the past half-century. It’s heartening to see HKICPA’s unshakable commitment to be a backbone of Hong Kong’s development as an international financial center.
