Relevant experience

Julie founded Forvis Mazars Shanghai office in 2002 and became Managing Partner shortly after.

Based in China for over twenty years, Julie has witnessed the huge evolution of China’s economic and social development, and has rich experience in advising international firms in their expansion in China. With deep knowledge in international and Chinese business strategy and in-depth insights on Chinese market, Julie is expert in advising foreign invested enterprises for problems frequently encountered, strategies and market trends in industry, retail and service sectors. Julie also acts as the leading partner of Forvis Mazars global coordination for complex cross boarder assignments.

In 2012, Julie established Forvis Mazars GCS, which now covers more than 60 countries and regions with 100+ professionals and has been actively engaged in helping Chinese companies to “go global. With her broad perspective and vast experience, Julie has assisted large scale Chinese companies in completing cross-border M&A and greenfield investment in US, Latam, Europe, Asia-pacific, 

Africa and to solve complex and special issues in these regions. She has furthermore assisted mega M&A projects for Chinese enterprises and has in-depth knowledge of international cross border M&A implementation. She has also published a number of articles including the book “China Outbound Investment”.

With years of business experience and analysis of the luxury industry, Julie has gained extensive experience in providing audit and advisory services to luxury groups in China. In 2019, she initiated the survey on Chinese consumers and published relevant report in three consecutive years: Chinese Luxury Brand Consumers, Chinese consumers in 2021: how priorities in lifestyle consumption are changing, Sustainable consumption of Chinese consumers: today and beyond, diving into the “profile of all generations of luxury consumers” in China and providing deep and thorough insights for practitioners in the consumer goods and luxury industries.
