Gary Stakem Director, Actuarial & Risk
Gary joined Forvis Mazars in 2021 and possesses over 14 years of insurance industry experience across life and non-life disciplines. He has in-depth knowledge of reserving processes, capital modelling, Own Risk & Solvency Assessments, and a broad range of (re)insurance regulatory topics.
Gary’s experience includes fulfilling PCF-48 (Head of Actuarial Function) and PCF-14 (Chief Risk Officer) roles. He has also previously been appointed to act as reviewing actuary and has led external audits across an extensive range of complex (re)insurance reserving classes. He provides support to actuarial and risk functions on all aspects of the Solvency II and Domestic Actuarial Regimes.
Gary is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (FSAI) and of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries in the UK (FIA). He is also a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA), and a Licentiate of the Compliance Institute (LCI).
