David Swinburne, Financial Advisory Partner, Cork
In this interview, we sit down with David Swinburne, a recent addition to the Forvis Mazars financial advisory team, who is based in Cork.
At Mazars, we are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive environment where teams, leaders and performance come in many different styles from diverse ethnic backgrounds and where these differences lead to greater value and success. As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, Mazars marked International Women's Day with an event for clients and staff.
Annalise joined us to discuss:
Annalise recognises the barriers that some women face in sports and in other aspects of life. She notes that 'it's going to take a long time for it to catch up with men’s sport because women were held back. In sailing, the first time that women had their own competition at the Olympics was 1988. One of the amazing things about the Olympics is that it is pretty much 50-50 men and women across all sports.'
Annalise is now a member of the Athletes' Commission and will play her part in the mentor programme that will go live early in 2023. Having strong mentors was extremely important for Annalise and she looks forward to mentoring younger athletes.
