Mazars strengthens its Audit & assurance partner team

About Melanie Merx (1970)

After completing her degree nearly 25 years ago, Merx started working at PwC, where she continued to develop into a Senior Director in the international audit practice. Although originally she had never envisaged a career in auditing, she was attracted by the culture, the people and the versatility of the audit profession and she is still delighted to have taken this step.

She will join the Mazars partner team in Amsterdam and will help to strengthen our PIE proposition. Melanie is an energetic and strong personality with a passion for forming strong teams and client relations. A real community builder. Her ample experience with clients in the retail & consumer sector, logistics and professional services is the perfect fit with our strategic focus and a valuable addition to our Audit & assurance practice. Over the past years she gained enormous international experience in group audits and cooperating with auditors from other countries and cultures, where she could provide added value by bringing cultural differences and expectations together. As a review partner, she also supported audit teams in high-risk engagements.

In her career, Merx has held a number of HR roles, including recruitment, selection, training, and coaching. For a few years, she was as a Business Unit Diversity Leader responsible for creating an inclusive culture within PwC.
