About Gert-Jan Gerrits (1977)

Gert-Jan Gerrits joined Mazars in 2019, where he has been working as Director IT Audit since 2020. Prior to that, he gained extensive experience at EY in financial audit and IT audit, among others. In addition, he has extensive experience in business operations, professional services and consultancy. In addition to his role in the further development of the IT Audit & advisory department, he has a number of additional functions, including Member of the international Mazars Audit Methodology IT Audit integration working group and Member of the NOREA ICT & Healthcare working group.

About Alfons Lohuis (1978)

After completing his studies in accountancy at Nyenrode Business University, Lohuis started his career at KPMG where he was promoted to partner in the Audit & assurance practice in 2014. He has been responsible for national clients in a wide range of sectors with a strong focus on privately owned business, industry and real estate. He has also been active on international group audits. Since 2017 he led the KPMG office in Twente and was responsible for HR for the offices in the North-East region. His extensive experience with Dutch GAAP and IFRS as well as the housing association sector is a valuable addition to Mazars' Audit & assurance practice.

About Vera Stappers (1979)

Vera Stappers has been working as a Director in Mazars' Audit & assurance practice since 2019. Prior to that, she gained over 15 years of experience at EY. Vera is active as an auditor for listed companies and international corporates. She has extensive experience and expertise in a large number of sectors, specialising in Technology, media & telecom. She is also closely involved in various internal and external initiatives in the field of quality, strategy, culture & behavior and training. 

About Marc Vazel (1977)

Marc Vazel has been working as a Director in Mazars' Audit & assurance practice since 2019. He has over 21 years of experience in accountancy, which he gained at KPMG and Deloitte. He is working as an ultimate auditor in the international audit practice (PIE) with focus on group audits and is market leader for listed companies in the Netherlands. He has extensive experience and expertise in the fields of accountancy, risk management, compliance and financial reporting. He is also closely involved in various internal and external issues relating to HR and the recruitment and retention of people.

About Arno van der Wijk (1983)

Arno van der Wijk has been working in the Tax practice of Mazars since 2012. Before that he had vast experience at PwC. His area of expertise includes Dutch and International Tax Law with a focus on real estate. His clients include Dutch and multinational (listed) companies and investment funds. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers and he completed the Exec LLM International and European Tax Law in 2013.
