The NSW Net Zero Planning Grant 2025 is an exciting initiative aimed at supporting projects that drive the state towards a net zero future. This grant provides funding (up to $30,000) for projects that help organisations advance their net zero journey. Organisations shall choose an external specialist consultant such as Forvis Mazars to complete the projects. Use our tool to assess your eligibility and plan ahead.

What is the NSW Net Zero Planning Grant 2025?

The NSW Net Zero Planning Grant 2025 is a funding initiative by the New South Wales government to support projects that contribute to the state's net zero carbon emissions goals.

Who can apply for the grant?

The grant is open to organisations with an ABN and operating in NSW that have projects aimed at planning and advancing their net zero journey.

What types of projects are eligible?

Projects that demonstrate a clear alignment with net zero goals. Examples include preparing a carbon footprint assessment, developing a net zero strategy and targets.

How much funding is available?

Eligible organisation can receive up to $30,000 (max 75% of the total cost) to pay for a broad range of net zero services provided by specialist consultant(s).

When is the application deadline?

The application deadline for the NSW Net Zero Planning Grant 2025 is Friday 2 May 2025 at 5 pm (AEST) or earlier if funding is exhausted

How can I apply for the grant?

First, use the eligibility assessment tool to determine if your organisation meets the eligibility criteria, consider eligible projects that you would like to undertake and receive step-by-step guidance. You will receive a personalised report via email

Second, we encourage you to get with a specialist consultant such as Forvis Mazars to further develop your net zero planning project.

Third, if your organisation is eligible, you will need to formally submit your application on the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water website.
