Applications for Smart Farms Small Grants now open

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment have released an additional $6.5 million under the Smart Farms Small Grants program. Competitive grants of up to $100,000 will be awarded for eligible projects in Round 4 of the program that are to be completed by 30 June 2023. Applications for this final round of funding close at 10pm (AEST) on 9 October 2020.

This program aims to support the development and use of best practice, tools and technologies designed to improve the condition of soils, water, vegetation, and on-farm biodiversity. Successful applications will demonstrate increased adoption of best practice sustainable agriculture or increase the capacity of land managers to adopt best practice sustainable agriculture.

Eligible applicants include a company, trustee of a trust and sole trader.
