Brunella Bugeja VAT & indirect senior tax manager
Brunella is the VAT & Indirect Tax Senior Manager at Forvis Mazars in Malta. She began her career at Forvis Mazars in 2011 as an accounts assistant, focusing on record-keeping and the preparation of VAT returns for companies in the retailing, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and financial services sectors.
In 2015, she moved to the Tax Department as a tax senior, assisting clients with their fiscal requirements. In 2018, Brunella was seconded to Budapest to work on transfer pricing assignments.
Promoted to Manager in 2019 and recently to Senior Manager within the Tax Department, Brunella now provides VAT advice and assists with VAT returns for the financial services, gaming, retail, and education sectors. She assists clients in assessing and devising their transfer pricing policies.
Brunella completed her ACCA studies in 2015 and obtained a diploma in VAT compliance. She is an associate member of the Malta Institute of Accountants, a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She is also currently a member of the MIA Indirect Tax Committee.
