Accounting assistant to the Finance director
As an Accounting assistant, you will be working closely to our Finance director. You can expect to learn, get involved, be empowered, innovate and feel first-hand the valid contribution you are making to our clients’ operations.
Job description
You will be working on a range of tasks, which will include:
- Processing day to day accounting transactions
- Carrying out bank reconciliations
- Preparation of reports in carrying out reconciliations, where applicable
- Assisting in both month-end and year-end processes for both internal and group reporting
- Assisting the finance team in carrying out ad hoc tasks
- Monitoring of the time and billing system and performing cost analysis
- Preparation of VAT returns and recap statements
With experience gained at Mazars in Malta, your role will in time develop to the preparation of the closing off workings for audit, management accounts, financial statements and tax computations.

Qualifications
You are a team player, self-motivated and able to work independently. You possess multi-tasking and analytical skills as well as an eye for detail. You are able to deliver tasks effectively in a timely manner and according to deadlines set. You possess excellent inter- and intrapersonal skills. You are computer literate and have a good working knowledge of MS Excel. You are able to work under pressure. You are qualified or in your final stages of ACCA and have a minimum of two years’ work experience in an Accounting role.
