Home office and social security: Is the widely desired flexibility now coming for cross-border commuters from 1.7.2023?
The need for more home office work, especially for employees with a country of residence outside of Switzerland, for example a cross-border commuter from France, continues to be strong and is unlikely to flatten out in the near future. In this article, we briefly summarise the upcoming changes to the current exemption agreement for cross-border commuters from EU/EFTA countries, which was communicated by the Federal Social Insurance Office on May 15, 2023.

Agreement on social security between Switzerland and Kosovo
Au 1er septembre 2019 la convention de sécurité sociale conclue entre la Suisse et le Kosovo entrera en vigueur. Cette nouvelle convention conclue le 8 juin 2018 coordonnera les systèmes de l’AVS et l’AI pour la Suisse. Elle règlera l’égalité de traitement en matière de versement des rentes à l’étranger.
