Built for forward with Forvis Mazars: embracing a bold foresight approach in financial advisory
Last week, two leading professional services firms, Mazars, an international partnership operating in over 100 countries and territories, and FORVIS, a top ranked firm in the United States, launched their new global network, Forvis Mazars.
As a Country Managing Partner at Forvis Mazars in Romania, in the next period, I will focus on bringing forward the unique advantages of our new network to companies in Romania, as well as sharing even more knowledge on our service lines, and the people behind them.
My interviewee for today is Răzvan Butucaru, Partner, Financial Services & Advisory Leader, who is currently leading the financial services and consulting department within Forvis Mazars in Romania, which offers a variety of services such as M&A assistance, consultancy in the implementation of various accounting and regulatory standards (ESG), IT consulting, corporate governance, and risk management services.
1. Răzvan, you wear many different hats at Forvis Mazars in Romania, but today, I want to focus on financial advisory, especially in mergers&acquisitions (M&A), given the multitude of deals you have been involved with. With the launch of our new network, can you tell me how Forvis Mazars embodies its brand pillar of ‘bold foresight’ in M&A?
At Forvis Mazars, 'bold foresight' is at the heart of our approach in deals advisory, especially here in Romania. We recognise that the M&A market is constantly evolving, both globally and locally. In today's dynamic environment, staying ahead of market trends and challenges is crucial for success. That's why we continuously monitor industry developments and regulatory changes to provide our clients with the most up-to-date and strategic advice possible.
Our willingness to embrace new opportunities and act decisively has been instrumental in navigating numerous M&A deals in Romania. As a rapidly growing economy within the European Union, Romania offers a wealth of opportunities for investors and businesses seeking growth and expansion. However, with these opportunities come unique challenges, including regulatory complexities and cultural nuances. Our team's deep understanding of the local market dynamics, combined with our global expertise, allows us to guide clients through these challenges with confidence.
Our latest M&A study underscores how our forward-thinking strategies have consistently added value to our clients' transactions. By leveraging our insights and experience, we help clients identify and capitalise on opportunities while mitigating risks. We understand that M&A transactions are not just about short-term gains but about building sustainable value for our clients on long term.
2. Răzvan, your leadership has been instrumental in guiding the Forvis Mazars team through numerous successful M&A deals. As we have seen, you have a very strong team working with you, and I have to ask, how will the launch of our new network enhance your team’s current capabilities?
Firstly, the new network expands our access to a wealth of resources, expertise, and best practices from across the globe and especially from the USA. This means we can tap into a wider pool of knowledge and insights, enabling us to stay at the forefront of new developments.
Secondly, the network fosters greater collaboration and knowledge-sharing among our team members. By connecting with colleagues from different regions and backgrounds, we can gain fresh perspectives and approaches to problem-solving. This collaborative environment not only enhances our team dynamics but also enriches the quality of the solutions we provide to our clients.
Additionally, the new network opens doors to new opportunities for professional development and growth. Through training programs, workshops, and networking events, our team members can further hone their skills and expertise, ensuring that we remain agile and adaptable in an ever-changing business landscape.
Thank you, Răzvan. Next time, I will continue this discussion with Luminița Bornoiu, Partner, Head of Outsourcing, to discuss our third brand pillar, ‘empowered professionals’, and what it represents in both Accounting and HR & Payroll.
