Sarah Attard Cassar FCC manager

Sarah is the FCC Manager within the advisory department, being the latest addition as of September 2024, brings extensive experience from her previous roles in the FIAU’s Enforcement Section and court litigator with a leading mid-tier lawfirm. Serving at the FIAU, she led complex enforcement actions, drafted sanction letters and remediation directives ensuring corrective actions through diligent follow-ups, led oral hearings, presented cases to the Compliance Monitoring Committee empowered with determining AML/CFT breaches and imposing corresponding administrative measures. Sarah represented the FIAU before the Maltese Superior Courts and contributed to EU-level AML/CFT forums.

Sarah is a warranted lawyer with a background in commercial and civil litigation, having represented clients before the Maltese Courts and specialised tribunals, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution methods including mediation.
