Announcement of TOP Czech Women in 2017, 22.1.2018

The results of the thirteenth edition were announced on January 22, 2018 at the Karlín Prague Forum. In the Top Women Awards of the Czech Republic 2017, the jury awarded to 14 inspiring women.

Tanya le Moigne, the head of Google domestic affiliate, won this year in the "Manager" category. Also boss of Slevomat Marie Havlickova, who last year made the acquisition by the British group Secret Escapes, was also successful and was awarded the silver position in the "Manager" category.

Designer Tereza Horakova worked for Avast for four years. Then she decided to make a change and head to the start-up. But her surroundings did not support her too much. "Every woman I've come up with, was trying to dissuade me from getting out of the job. But I thought it was a good time to try it," recalls the young Creative Director of the start-up SlidesLive. She was also one of the 14 inspiring women who was awarded in the TOP Czech Women Awards 2017. Jaroslava Valová, the founder of the family-owned company Siko bathrooms, was successful in category "Businesswomen".

"Women often doubt whether they can manage the aggressive business environments. But in childcare and family care they do not usually have doubts, "says Taťána le Moigne, the head of Czech Google, who ranked first in her category." The role of men and women has been clear for millennia. Women do not have much training in business. It is a matter of time, education, and opportunity for a sufficient number of women to see women's patterns as good leaders. Then they will have more courage and motivation to try it too, "explains the award-winning manager.
