In the first article we look at the EU’s regulation on the personal data protection, which will affect most companies. Even though the regulation is coming into effect in May 2018, we think that the content of the regulation is so important that it is better to give it the attention it deserves now, in advance.

Many businessmen will be glad to hear that the judgment by the Constitutional Court that annulled (at least for now) the launch of the third and fourth waves of the electronic registration of sales, which we will also be informing you about in more details in this issue.¨

In the area of VAT we will introduce you to interesting information concerning the issue of VAT registration, which the General Financial Directorate issued at the end of last year, and to changes in the application of VAT for company members (formerly associations not having legal personality).

Another interesting article concerns the implementation of an EU Directive against the avoidance of tax obligations (known as the ATAD) in Czech regulations, which should take place this year.
