First market study on the audit and consulting sector in Switzerland: a strong and forward-looking sector

The industry associations ASCO and EXPERTsuisse have published a study on the audit and advisory sector in Switzerland. This study is the first of its kind to present an overview of the entire audit and advisory industry including the areas of management consulting, advisory, auditing and outsourcing/business services.

The audit and consulting sector provides essential support to the Swiss economy.

The Swiss consulting and auditing market is heterogeneous in terms of services and characterised by a few very large players, which generate 65% of the market volume of over CHF 5 billion.
Client demand for consulting and auditing services has hardly been affected by the Covid-19 crisis. The outlook for the future is positive and closely linked to the themes of digitalisation and sustainability.
Sustainability - economic, social and ecological - is gaining in importance worldwide; changes are also taking place in Switzerland with the support of the consulting and auditing sector.
The consulting and auditing sector offers attractive working conditions with a diversity of skills and genders, but the current labour law does not provide the necessary framework for self-determined work.
