Forvis Mazars in Switzerland appoints new audit & assurance partners

Further expansion of the Bern office

Andreas Schwab-Gatschet, Partner and Swiss Certified Accountant, will further develop and expand the Audit and Assurance practice from the Bern office together with his team. He has more than 20 years' experience in auditing and advising national and international companies and organisations in the public, healthcare, industrial and service sectors. Andreas has extensive knowledge of national and international accounting standards, including the Swiss Code of Obligations, Swiss GAAP FER, HAM2 and IFRS. Andreas is also an expert in cost accounting in the healthcare sector (REKOLE) and a specialist in the implementation and optimisation of internal control systems.

Recognised insurance expert

Forvis Mazars has also welcomed Yves Gyr, Partner and Swiss Certified Accountant, a recognised expert in the insurance sector. Yves has many years of experience with several audit firms, most recently as Head of the Swiss Insurance Department. He was also a long-standing member of the insurance commission at EXPERTsuisse, the association for auditing, tax and fiduciary services. Yves will play a central role in the further expansion of the department dedicated to the financial services sector.
