New tax deduction for individual taxpayers: Easy E-Receipt 2.0
This regulation aims to stimulate spending by encouraging individual taxpayers to purchase goods and services from VAT-registered businesses and local entrepreneurs, including One Tambon One Product (OTOP), registered community enterprises, and social enterprises. This tax deduction can be claimed for goods or services purchased during the period from 16 January to 28 February 2025.
Key details of the Easy E-Receipt 2.0 tax deduction include the following:
- Deduction Limit: Taxpayers can deduct up to THB 50,000 for the 2025 tax year.
- Eligible Purchases: The first THB 30,000 can be claimed for all eligible goods and services, provided that the taxpayer obtains electronic tax invoices for purchases from VAT-registered businesses or e-receipts for purchases from sellers not register for VAT. The remaining THB 20,000 can only be claimed for purchases from registered community enterprises, social enterprises, and OTOP goods.
- Eligible Items: All types of goods and services purchased from VAT-registered businesses can be claimed. However, if the seller or service provider is not registered for VAT, the eligible items must be one of the following: books, e-books, newspapers, magazines, e-newspapers, e-magazines, OTOP goods, goods or services purchased from registered community enterprises or registered social enterprises.
- Excluded Items: The following goods and services cannot be claimed: package tours, hotels, homestays, cigarettes, alcoholic drinks, cars, motorcycles, boats, petrol and EV charging costs, utility bills, insurance premiums, and any services which can be used beyond the specified period.

New minimum wage effective 1 January 2025
The increase in the daily minimum wage varies by province, ranging from THB 7 to THB 55.
- Highest Daily Minimum Wage: THB 400 in Phuket, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, and Koh Samui district in Surat Thani Province.
- Lowest Daily Minimum Wage: THB 337 in Narathiwat, Pattani, and Yala Provinces.
For employees paid monthly, the minimum salary in Bangkok Province is now THB 11,160.
This adjustment aims to address regional economic disparities and improve the standard of living for workers across Thailand. Further details on the specific increases by province are provided below.
