Additional payment deadlines and reductions in Social Security Fund contributions for another 3 provinces due to severe flooding

Following the notification of the Ministry of Labour published in the Royal Gazette on 27 December 2024, which extended the deadline for Social Security contributions and reduced the contribution rates in 55 provinces affected by floods and storms, the Cabinet approved an additional draft notification of the Ministry of Labour on 28 January 2025 to extend payment deadlines and reduce Social Security contributions for both employers and employees temporarily for three additional provinces, as set out below:

  1. Narathiwat
  2. Pattani
  3. Phatthalung

If a branch located in one of these 3 provinces is not registered with the local Social Security Office, such a branch is not qualified to receive this support.

The new submission and payment deadlines for Social Security contributions for wages from November 2024 through February 2025 are as follows:

From November 2024 to April 2025, Social Security Fund contributions for both employees and employers in these provinces have been reduced from 5% to 3%, based on wages, capped at THB 15,000.

Therefore, both employees and employers will make contributions ranging from THB 50 (THB 1,650 x 3%) to THB 450 (THB 15,000 x 3%).
