Firas Abou Merhi joined Mazars in February 2001, after earning his engineering degree and experience working at a startup business. Firas was attracted by the entrepreneurial spirit, moral values and dynamic nature of Mazars.
After starting in audit, he quickly joined the rapidly developing Transaction Services team. He has developed a specialism in managing complex acquisition and disposal projects with a significant international dimension to his work, leading him to manage numerous due diligence assignments across the globe (Europe, United States, Africa, China and Latin America). This international dimension is complemented by Firas’s language skills as he speaks French, English, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic.
Co-opted Partner in 2010, he joined Mazars Brazil in 2010 to develop and lead the Financial Advisory Services practice (Transaction Services, Valuation, etc.) until 2015.
Back in France, he took responsibility for Financial Advisory Services in France in 2018, while overseeing Transaction Services activities at Mazars Group level.
His experiences have led Firas to develop an expertise in several key sectors such as energy, logistics, distribution, and new technologies.
Firas Abou Merhi holds a MSc. in Engineering with a major in applied mathematics (ENSTA Paris, France) and is a US Certified Public Accountant, member of the New Hampshire Board of Accountancy and a French CPA (Expert-Comptable).
