KSeF shall become mandatory from 2026

According to the latest announcement issued by the Minister of Finance, the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) is to be mandatory as of February 1, 2026 for entities whose sales value in the previous fiscal year exceeded amount of PLN 200 million. However, from April 1, 2026 KSeF should become obligatory for other entrepreneurs.

The mandatory KSeF was originally scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2024, but in January 2024 the Ministry of Finance announced that an audit of the system would take place due to errors found in the system.

Following the audit, the Minister of Finance, indicated that it is necessary to develop a new system architecture that will take into account the conclusions of the audit and guarantee the development of software that is compatible with the new system architecture and the recommendations made. The above is expected to allow the effective implementation of the changes and the achievement of the project's goals, i.e. the preparation of software that is efficient and secure for the circulation of invoices.

At this point, there is no indication that the changes involve non-systemic issues.
