BIR announces all accredited Microfinance NGOs in an updated list
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) highlights all recently accredited Microfinance Non-Government organizations through their updated list.
The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) recently published an updated list of newly accredited Microfinance Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) in their Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) 26-2023. The list was titled “Updated List of Microfinance NGOs Accredited by the Microfinance NGO Regulatory Council (MNRC) as of January 2023” and was released by the BIR on February 27, 2023.
This RMC follows the guidelines in the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act (RA) No. 10693 or otherwise called the “Microfinance NGOs Act” which states that the accreditations provided are valid for a period of three (3) years from the date it was issued unless it is revoked by the MNRC.
The list also highlights Microfinance NGO Certificates of Accreditation that have either expired or have been revoked by the MNRC with reference to RMC 159-2022.
