2024 Guide to Holiday Wages in the Philippines

The complete list of all Regular and Special Non-working Holidays for 2024 was released by the Malacañang Palace last
13 October 2023. The update was announced through Proclamation No. 368, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
The proclamation made some changes to the holiday list, these included removing the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary but adding the Chinese New Year and Christmas Eve as Special Non-working Holidays.
The proclamation states that Regular and Special Non-working Holidays for 2024 are as follows:

The palace has confirmed the Eid'l Fitr national holiday date on April 10, 2024, through Proclamation No. 514, s. 2024.
"In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid'l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, and to allow the Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid'l Fitr, it is necessary to declare Wednesday, 10 April 2024, a regular holiday throughout the country" states the proclamation.
“To this end, the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos shall recommend to the Office of the President the actual dates on which these holidays shall respectively fall," states the proclamation.
Eid’l Adha has been declared by the palace to occur in 17 June 2024, as a national holiday following Eidul Adha (Eid’l Adha), on their Proclamation No. 579 signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on 4 June 2024. The holiday was issued after being determined following the Islamic calendar (Hijira) as recommended by the Islamic National Commission.
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, 17 June 2024 a regular holiday throughout the country, in observance of Eid'l Adha," as stated by President Marcos Jr. in the proclamation.
