Professional Experience
He has over 16 years of experience in audit and accounting advisory services. He resided in Hamilton, Bermuda (2000 to 2002), performing audits of financial statements mainly in the financing industry (banks, mutual funds and insurance companies) and has experience in engagements performed in conformity with regulations issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the National Banking and Exchange Commission in México (CNBV for its Spanish acronym), and in the application of Financial Reporting Standards in México (NIF for its Spanish acronym) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States of America (US GAAP).
From 2009 and through 2013, he has worked in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) adoption processes for some of the largest public companies in Mexico.
His main areas of expertise include financial statements audits (NIF, US GAAP and IFRS) and other attestation services, due diligence projects (mergers and acquisitions), quarterly reviews of public companies in Mexico and the United States of America (USA), assisting entities to successfully issue Initial Public Offerings (stock or debt) in recognized stock markets in México, Europe and the USA, implementation and/or compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act (public companies regulated by the SEC), IFRS adoption projects for public companies in Mexico, South America and the USA.
