Mazars consolidates its leadership in Mexico with 4 new Partners

October 2023. Mazars has appointed Liliana Guerra as Outsourcing Partner, Roberto Cantú as Tax Partner, and Alberto Cano as Leading International Markets Partner and Audit and Financial Advisory Partner; all of them will be based in Monterrey. Carlos Carmona was also appointed as Audit Partner in Mexico City.

Liliana, Roberto and Carlos have been promoted in response to the growth of the firm, in recognition of their professional development and their work within Mazars in Mexico. Meanwhile, Alberto comes to Mazars with the commitment to bring his extensive experience to our firm.

Liliana Guerra, Outsourcing Partner

Liliana began her career at Mazars as a Manager in 2011. Since then, she has specialised in outsourcing, simultaneously developing effective skills for interaction with clients and high-level leadership.

In her new position, Liliana aims to support the continuous improvement of the service she provides, highlighting the proximity and personalisation of the service offered by Mazars.

I am very happy because it is something I have worked hard for. It was a lot of hard work, but all those years of evolution, changes and challenges paid off because they led me to achieve this objective. Goals like this also help break existing stereotypes around women: when someone makes it, other people realise that it is not impossible.

Roberto Cantú, Tax Partner

Roberto has a robust history tackling fiscal challenges for different global accounting and consulting firms. Since he joined Mazars in 2021, he has consolidated his career and experience with new projects.

My key objectives in this position are to contribute to the growth of Mazars in Mexico and globally; to get more companies and organisations to recognise our name and identify us as the first class international firm that we are; to reaffirm the trust that our clients have placed in us; and to let them know that our goal is to exceed their expectations at all times.
