Mazars appoints Jean-Francois Salzmann as the new Managing Partner for Japan

1 September 2022, Tokyo: Mazars in Japan, the international audit, tax and advisory firm today announces that Jean-Francois Salzmann has been elected as the new Managing Partner of Mazars in Japan succeeding Emmanuel Thierry, who will take a new leadership role at Mazars France, covering Sustainability Audit services in Europe. With three decades of fervent experience in professional service industry, Jean-Francois will ensure that Mazars in Japan continues to deliver top quality services to clients and drive the growth of Mazars in Japan managing day-to-day business operations as well as its planned strategic expansion in Japan and the APAC region.

Announcement of registering to the list of semi-registered firms (JICPA)

In order to start providing audit services to listed companies in Japan, Mazars Audit LLC applied for semi-registration as an audit firm for listed companies with the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA), and as a result of the review, Mazars Audit LLC was approved for registration in the list of semi-registered firms (audit firms before conducting quality control reviews) as of March 17, 2021.
