Mazars partners with the Women’s Forum
Mazars, present in over 90 countries, is by design an international, multicultural and diverse firm; one that expressly appreciates the value of difference and the importance of belonging as sine qua non conditions of business success. In recent years, Mazars has been on a journey to reinforce its commitment to diversity and inclusion, pursuing a particular focus on gender diversity, through a number of targeted initiatives. Partnering with the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society is a natural extension of this commitment.
The Women’s Forum: combining ambition with action
Established in 2005, the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society has brought high-value contribution to the world’s most crucial challenges by providing a unique platform in which business and policymakers can work together to find solutions to common problems related not only to the role of women, but also to economic growth and well-being. Private and public sector actors work year-round with the Women’s Forum through dedicated programmes such as Daring Circles, Rising Talents, CEO Champions and WomenEntrepreneurs4Good to name a few.
The annual Women’s Forum Global Meeting convenes top businesswomen, lawmakers and agents of change across sectors from over 175 countries. The conference consists of debates, meetings, roundtables and workshops led by experts. This year, the 17th edition of the Global Meeting will take place on the 29 and 30 of November 2022 at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, France, under the umbrella theme “Time to Act”.
Mazars: engaged internationally, from the top
For Mazars, the objectives behind this partnership with the Women’s Forum go beyond the mutual exchange of expertise, joint communications and shared initiatives. It is an extension of our deep-rooted commitment to integrate gender equality into our leadership teams across the world at the highest level, which is carried from the top by our Group Chairman and CEO Hervé Hélias, who has been actively engaged on the subject of gender diversity. In this regard, he will participate in the Women’s Forum ‘CEO Champions’ meeting on 30 November, along with Virginie Chauvin, Head of Audit and Member of the Executive Board of Mazars in France. Virginie will also be speaking at the Global Meeting on the same day in a session entitled, “Great expectations for sustainable corporate action”.
A Mazars delegation of 30 international women leaders will also attend the Global Meeting. This will be a key opportunity for representatives of our firm to meet well-known personalities in the field, as well as executives and government representatives in a friendly setting, to develop together ideas that will accelerate the movement towards equality, both within and outside of Mazars.
Mazars regularly participates in the Women’s Forum regional meetings and is a member of the Women4Business daring circle. As part of our global D&I initiative and with our Center for Diversity & Inclusion, we invest in research and publish perspectives from experts to advance the understanding around gender gaps. Our recent publication, “Myths and barriers preventing the progression of women”, provides unique insights which we bring to the table of the Women’s Forum’s discussions and debates.
