Just one charger for 135 Evs! Report highlights why Indians avoid EVs

Despite India's push towards mobility, a significant portion of potential buyers remains hesitant. According to a recent report by Forvis Mazars in India, range anxiety deters 58% of potential EV buyers. This concern is compounded by the country's underdeveloped charging infrastructure, with only 12,146 public charging stations as of February 2024, equating to one charging point for every 135 EVs on Indian roads. By comparison, the U.S. and China offer a charging station for every 20 and 10 EVs, respectively.
