Az Európai Unió által jóváhagyott NIS2 irányelv a digitális infrastruktúra és a kapcsolódó szolgáltatások védelmének erősítését célozza. Magyarországon a SZTFH (mint felügyeleti hatóság) 2024-ben vezeti be az irányelvet.
