Tax package for 2018 announced - Tax Newsletter 2017/12

The omnibus tax package approved by the Parliament last week has been announced in the Official Gazette (Magyar Közlöny) on 19 June 2017.

The package consists of more than 230 sections and it amends over two dozen tax laws. Furthermore, two additional bills has been recently approved, also affecting some tax-related regulations. However, after reviewing the new or amended regulations, it seems to be clear that no larger-scale tax overhauls of the tax regime are to be expected in 2018.

In the following, we will highlight the most important new or amended provisions.
