Michalis Papazoglou is Partner and Head of Financial advisory services of Forvis Mazars in Greece. He has extensive experience of more than 25 years in Audit, Corporate Finance, Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigations, having led a large number of Financial Advisory projects related to Due Diligence Reviews, M&A and Valuations, across different industries. He is a Greek Certified Public Accountant (CPA), certified by ELTE.
Michalis has excellent understanding of major sectors of the economy, including Construction, Energy, Shipping, Media, Hospitality, Telecomms, Food & Beverages, in local and international level and he has carried out complicated projects related to Transactions Advisory (Due Diligence & Valuations), Restructuring and Forensic & Dispute Consulting services. He has been appointed as an accounting expert witness and as an advisor on a broad range of disputes and investigations in Greece and internationally. Investigations included financial misconduct, fraud, accounting irregularities, money laundering, regulatory investigations, asset tracing assignments, forensic audits, compliance issues, breaches of ethical codes and due diligence across a variety of business sectors.
Michalis’ experience was gained through establishing, developing and implementing audit assignments, Internal Controls and advisory projects in listed and non-listed companies.
