Forvis Mazars in Singapore Enhances Leadership: 8 New Global Partners, New Executive Committee and Expanded Forensic Services

Singapore-based leaders join the CARL Partnership 

In Singapore, eight partners have been appointed to the Cooperative à Responsabilité Limité (CARL) partnership. The new CARL partners include: 

• Ellyn Tan, Gavyn Ng and Hong Chuan Goh (Financial Advisory) 
• Kee Yin Lai (Technology & Digital Consulting) 
• Kirsty McMillan (Tax) 
• Yan Song Tan,Yung Hui Lok and Zi En Wong (Audit & Assurance)  

They join 16 existing CARL partners in Singapore, leveraging the nation’s status as a financial hub in Asia Pacific to contribute strategically to Forvis Mazars’ objectives. 

Global Collaboration and Recognition  

The appointments of the CARL partners reflect a democratic process involving over 1,200 Forvis Mazars Group global partners, who voted to co-opt these leaders from Singapore and around the world. This move not only strengthens Forvis Mazars Group but also underscores the firm's commitment to diverse and impactful leadership. 

At the Group level, Hervé Hélias has been reappointed as Chairman, and Pascal Jauffret as the new CEO. This new governance model includes a Group Governing Board (GGB) for governance, strategy and oversight and a Group Executive Committee (GEC) for leadership and implementation of the Group’s strategy. Additionally, Rick Chan, Singapore’s Managing Partner & Head of Audit and Assurance for APAC, has been appointed as a Member of the GGB. These global appointments will continue to bolster the leadership and strategic direction of the firm to propel the business further, enhance the integrity of its operations and sustain its ongoing development as a top-ten global firm.

New Executive Committee in Singapore 

The team in Singapore extends their heartfelt gratitude to Pascal Jauffret, whose leadership, dedication and vision were instrumental in guiding them towards their strategic goals and direction in his capacity as Executive Committee member in Singapore over the past 4 years. As he continues his journey as CEO of Forvis Mazars Group, the team wishes him continued success and fulfilment in his new position. 

Singapore's newly elected executive committee will oversee the firm's strategic direction and management for the next four years. This committee comprises Rick Chan (Managing Partner & Head of Audit and Assurance APAC), Narissa Chen (Partner and Head of Audit & Assurance), Chee Choon Chin (Partner and Head of Business Development and Marketing) and Gene Kwee (Partner and Head of Tax APAC). The team is dedicated to reinforcing Forvis Mazars’ commitment to delivering unmatched client experiences in Singapore.  

Expanding Forensic Services  

Recognising evolving client needs, Forvis Mazars in Singapore continues to expand its offerings. Since 2023, the firm has added restructuring and insolvency services and financial services consulting to its portfolio. Most recently, it has introduced forensic investigation and compliance services, welcoming Wallace Lee, Partner – Singapore, Financial Advisory (Forensic Services), to the partnership on 2 December 2024.  

Wallace brings over 12 years of expertise in fraud investigation, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, litigation support and business intelligence assignments. He began his career with the forensic advisory practice of a Big 4 firm and was seconded to New York for 18 months prior to joining Forvis Mazars. Wallace is a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), a Financial Forensic Professional in ISCA, an Associate of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the Singapore Management University. Wallace has delivered forensic services to clients in various industries, notably in the commodities, construction services, shipping, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, mining, manufacturing, and the government sector. 

Coming on board Forvis Mazars, he shared, “I look forward to working closely with my colleagues to strengthen our forensic practice. As a forensic professional with extensive cross-border experience in Asia, USA and Europe, I will leverage my expertise to help organisations and individual clients address, navigate and resolve complex and critical challenges. By collaborating with my teammates in Financial Advisory, I believe that we can break through traditional barriers to provide innovative solutions to better meet our clients’ needs.”
